I joined the University of Portsmouth in 2015 as Senior Lecturer in International Development Studies and Course Leader for the MSc International Development. Previously, I taught research methods and demography modules in the Department of Demography and Social Statistics at the University of Southampton.
Leveraging my expertise in demography and social statistics, I have shaped the distinctiveness of the MSc International Development DL course through modules in Applied Research Methods for Development and Population Health and Development.
My educational qualifications span economics, demography, and social statistics, while my teaching focuses on international development and gender studies. This multidisciplinary background informs my research.
My research encompasses public health, gender studies, demography, and international development. However, my primary focus lies in population health and gender-related research, particularly maternal and child health in the Global South.
