I am a Senior Lecturer in Business Ethics. I currently teach on several undergraduate courses in the areas of organisational behaviour, human resource management, and international business. My main teaching responsibility is the coordination of a core second year unit on Leadership, Ethics, Governance, and Sustainability.
I have worked on Fair Trade projects with a range of stakeholders including the Fairtrade Foundation, the Fair Trade Advocacy Office, and Fashion Revolution.
Prior to joining the University of Portsmouth, I worked in the Civil Service as a Strategic Analyst on policy and communications projects. Working with departments across government, I translated findings from behavioural science research into evidence-based policy.
My research interests focus on the intersection between civil society and business. My main research outputs, to date, have investigated the role of the Fair Trade movement and have explored the key drivers behind the mainstreaming of an alternative business model. I was the Co-convenor of the 2018 Fair Trade International Symposium. I am currently investigating the role of civil society advocacy as a driver of political and regulatory change in relation to Fair Trade and Circular Economy.
