I hold a BA in International Development Studies, an MRes in Development Studies and a PhD in International Development from the University of Portsmouth. I also hold an MSc in Social Research Methods from the University of Southampton.
My research interests lie in the intersectionality of gender, harmful practices and HIV infection. My interests also encompass development policy and programming for ending VAWG, arguing for the integration of all forms of violence against women and girls including female genital mutilation in programming. I support colleagues in the department with teaching on the Global Development module Level 4. I am also a member of the University of Sanctuary working group.
